POWERSUL-15 activates the enzyme and hormone systems in plants that are essential for plant growth and reproduction. POWERSUL-15 stimulates internode elongation by triggering cell division and provides nutrients for healthier roots, stronger stalks and improves plant performance.
PROGRAMME FOR SUGAR CANE
First application of 2.5 kg POWERSUL-15 per hectare should be made at 6-8 weeks (3 to 4 leaf stage). A follow up application should be made at 4 to 6 weeks later. It is recommended that this application be applied.
A grower’s experience
Approximately 133 hectares were divided into 20 blocks – 10 being treated and 10 untreated. All blocks had the same basic soil conditions (Sandy/organic), production history and production programmes. All treated and untreated fields were planted on the same dates and harvested on the same dates. All treated fields received 2 applications of POWERSUL-15 at a rate of 2.5 kg per hectare per application. The first treatment of POWERSUL-15 was applied at 180 days after planting and the second application 237 days after planting.
RESULTS:
Treated plants had significantly greater root mass and a thicker root structure with many more feeder roots compared to the untreated plants. There was also a significant increase in tillers, millable stalks, tonnage and sugar per hectare from the treated fields.
